What distinguishes one account type from another?

RWMarkets traders can choose from a variety of account-types to fit their individual needs. Learn more about our different accounts here.

Can I open more than one account type?

No. RWMarkets traders can only have one account.

How can I register for an Islamic account?

To open an Islamic Account, contact your Personal Trading Coach.

Can I update my account details?

Absolutely. To update your account details, login to the trading platform and click “My Account” on the bottom left of the menu.

What identification paperwork am I required to submit?

When you open an account with RWMarkets, you must fax, scan or email us the following documents in order to verify your account and to ensure a secure trading experience:

  • A copy of your valid government-issued ID
    In the form of a passport, driver’s license, or national ID card.
  • A copy of the payment card used to make your deposit
    Your name must be clearly displayed.
    *Only the last 4 digits of the card number are required to be visible
  • Proof of residence
    Submit a copy of a utility bill that was sent to you within the last 6 months. Your name and street address as registered on your account must be clear and legible.

Why am I required to submit a copy of my government-issued ID?

By submitting a copy of your valid government-issued ID, you enable us to verify your identity and protect and secure the trading environment RWMarkets provides for all of its traders.

How can I submit my documents?

How can I confirm that my submitted documents are satisfactory?

Once we’ve received your documents, our compliance team will review them and let you know right away if any of the documents are missing, illegible, or insufficient in any way.

Does my account have to operate in US Dollars?

Yes. All RWMarkets trader accounts are in US Dollars.

Will I be charged any commission and/or fees for trading?

No. RWMarkets never charges commissions or fees.

Will I be charged for money transfers?

No. RWMarkets never charges for money transfers.

Will I be charged any maintenance fees?

No. As an RWMarkets trader, you’ll never be charged regular maintenance fees. However, RWMarkets reserves the right to charge a fee of USD 50 every six months on active accounts.

Can I be charged for an inactive account?

Yes. If your RWMarkets account has been inactive for six months or more, we reserve the right to charge an inactivation fee in the amount of USD 50, if a minimum of USD 50 remains in the account. For more information about the inactivation fee, please see Section 14.10 of our Terms and Conditions.

Am I allowed to remove a credit card from my RWMarkets account?

Yes. To remove your credit card and add a new one to your account, simply sign in and enter the deposit centre from inside the platform. Click the “Add Funds" button at the top right of your screen and then click the “Change Method" link. Click the “Use New Card" link and enter your new credit card information or simply edit the credit card details that are currently on file by clicking the “Edit Credit Card Details" link.

How can I access my statement?

You can access your statement anytime by signing into the trading platform with your username and password. Click “My Account” on the bottom left of the menu bar and click “Statement.” Select the statement period you wish to view from the dropdown menu.

Does RWMarkets manage my investments for me?

No. We do not manage any of our traders’ investments. When you open an RWMarkets account, you are solely responsible for your investment decisions and the management of your own funds. We do, however, provide traders of all levels with a comprehensive personal training programme that includes individualised attention, education, and analysis.

Does RWMarkets permit fund management for other clients?

Yes. We provide PAMM/MAMM services. To learn more about this, please get in touch with your Personal Trading Coach.

Will any of the funds in my account be withheld for tax purposes?

No. You are the one responsible for your tax status and compliance with the relevant laws. RWMarkets never withholds any funds from your account for tax purposes.

Can I trade with RWMarkets if I live in the United States?

No. Residents of the US are not currently able to trade with RWMarkets.

Can I open a corporate account? What is the minimum deposit required for a corporate account? What documents do I need to submit to open a corporate account?

How can I start trading with RWMarkets?

What assets are available for trading at RWMarkets?

What trading platforms can I trade on with RWMarkets?

We offer the first-class Web Trader platform which is available on all desktops on any browser with no download required, along with the Web Trader App for iOS and Android mobile devices.

What is the minimum transaction size?

You must deposit a minimum of US$50. Withdrawals require a minimum of US$70.

Am I able to trade over the phone?

Yes. You can always trade over the phone by speaking with one of our professional dears who will be happy to transmit your telephone orders. When you call in for the first time, you’ll have to go through a short identification process after which you’ll be assigned a number. Each time you call our support centre, you will be required to provide this number, along with your username to transmit deals over the phone. What are Major Currencies and can I trade them with RWMarkets?

Major Currencies are the currencies in which most foreign exchange transactions are made internationally and you can always trade them with RWMarkets. Major Currencies are the currencies against which the values of local currencies are determined. The five major currencies are the US Dollar (USD), the British Pound (GBP), the Euro (EUR), the Japanese Yen (JPY), and the Swiss Franc (CHF).

What is Stop-Loss (S/L) and how can it help my trading?

Placing a Stop-Loss on your trades can help protect you when trades go against you. Stop-Loss can also help protect your account balance when markets are volatile in order to limit any losses.

What is Take Profit (T/P) and how can it help my trading?

Placing a Take Profit allows you to close your trades at a profit point chosen by you and helps to structure a sound and professional trading strategy. Take Profit orders also help protect profitable trades from volatile market movement. They are particularly useful when you are not able to access the trading platform to close a deal.

Why do my open trades seem to start with a loss?

The discrepancy you see on your trades is the spread. Spreads are the difference between the buy and sell price of an asset. They are automatically instated when orders are opened, no matter the result of a trade. When the market price of an asset breaches the spread in the direction of your trade, you earn a profit.

Does RWMarkets have slippage?

What is leverage and how does it help my trading?

Leverage, also known as trading on margin, is a trading instrument RWMarkets provides to help increase the trading margin for our traders. Leverage allows traders to open larger deals on assets than their regular balance would permit and is offered on currencies, stocks, commodities, indices, and CFDs. RWMarkets traders benefit from leverage of up to 400:1.

Do you use margin calls?

Yes. We maintain the right to execute margin calls on traders’ accounts. Traders will be alerted as soon as possible if a margin call is required on their account. To learn more about margin calls, please see Section 9 of the RWMarkets Terms and Conditions.

How do rollover charges work at RWMarkets?

Rollover fees refer to charges placed on the interest rate currency traders pay or receive on positions left open overnight. They are calculated for trades left open after 00:00 GMT. Although we do not charge a rolling commission, we do charge rollover fees, or overnight swaps. Each currency pair has its own interest rate and at the end of each day of trading, at 00:00 GMT, traders will either pay or be paid the interest rate. To learn more about rollovers, click here.

What is Scalping and is it permitted at RWMarkets?

The term “Scalping” refers to the practice of opening and closing trading positions in just seconds. RWMarkets does not allow Scalping and requires all trades to be open for a minimum of one minute before a deal is allowed to be closed.

Do you have fixed spreads? If yes, do all traders enjoy the same fixed spreads?

Why am I having trouble closing my position on Oil, Gold, or Silver?

Each day, Gold, Oil, and Silver cannot be traded during a short daily break taken by the financial markets. These trading hours and breaks are not under the control of RWMarkets. For more information about asset trading schedules, please click here.

Does RWMarkets support forward deals?

No. We do not support forward deals, but we do support spot deals.

How fast will my orders of execution be carried out and what are the order of execution rules?

What are the contract conditions for currency pairs (spread, swap rate, minimum and maximum limits, leverage, base quote) with RWMarkets?

Does RWMarkets open opposite trades to mine?

No. RWMarkets is an STP (Straight-Through-Processing) broker, which means that we channel all of your trade orders directly to the market, and avoid any conflict of interest.

How can I be sure RWMarkets is not trading against me?

RWMarkets is an esteemed online broker acting with only your best interests in mind. We hedge every position and profit only from the spread. We also employ state-of-the-art technology to further ensure your protection.

When the trading day ends, what happens to my open positions?

In the short-term, almost nothing will happen to your open positions at the end of the trading day. However, many assets behave differently across their life cycles. Trades on currency pairs can be open for as long as three months, but indices will expire on the date indicated in their underlying contract. To learn more, click here to view our Assets page.

What happens to my open positions over the weekend?

Open positions are frozen over the weekend. When the market re-opens, though, you may notice that your positions open at different rates than they were at the close of the previous week.


How do I make a deposit?

How much is the minimum initial deposit?

To benefit from our full suite of premium services, we require a minimum deposit of USD 500. With the benefit of leverage of up to 400:1, this minimum deposit lends you control over USD 200,000 in trading capital.

Do you charge a deposit fee?

No. We do not charge any fees on deposits.

Are third-party credit card deposits allowed?

No. RWMarkets does not accept deposits by third-party credit cards on an account under your name. If you would like to change the name on the credit card used to deposit, you will be required to change the name on the trading account, along with all other credentials. All withdrawals will be routed to the credit card from which the original deposit was made. The name on the credit card must match the name on the account.

If I deposit via credit card by mistake, can I cancel it and get my funds back?

Yes. Sign in to the platform and click “Withdrawal” on the bottom left and submit a withdrawal request immediately.


Can I open more than one chart at the same time?

Yes. You can open multiple chart options at once: Thin Chart, Single Chart, and Chart Station.

Why aren’t the charts from Trade Tools visible?

In order to view the charts, you must have JavaScript installed. Downloading and installing JavaScript only takes a few minutes.

Privacy & Security

Is my personal information protected?

Yes. To ensure the safest trading experience possible and maximum security of your personal information, RWMarkets employs SSL encryption systems. You can also change your password whenever you wish after you’ve activated your account.

Why am I required to answer questions about my financial status before I can start trading?

In order to ensure the safest trading environment possible, we require all clients to submit details to comply with the guidelines we follow on appropriateness and suitability. RWMarkets never shares any of your information with any third party.

Are accounts with RWMarkets segregated?

Yes. All trader funds are kept in segregated accounts and the balance of this account is equal to the sum of your deposits and trading profits, minus any trading losses. You have sole access to your account with your unique username and password.

Login Issues

How can I access my account if I forgot my password?

You can reset your password by clicking “Login” at the top right of the homepage. A small popup window will appear. Click “Forgot your password?” below the “Login” button and input your email address. We’ll send an email to your registered email address with instructions on how to reset your password.

Why can’t I access my account?

RWMarkets accounts can be blocked if we did not receive all of your required documentation within 72 hours of your first deposit. In order to unblock your account and start trading, you must send us a copy of your passport or other government-issued photo ID, a copy of a utility bill dated within the last 3 months, and a clear copy of your credit card. If you have already sent in these documents and more than 3 days have passed, please contact us immediately.

We will make sure your Personal Trading Coach gets in touch with you right away. Please note that while your account is blocked, your funds will be deposited securely and will be safe in your account.


How can I register a complaint?
